A RESOLUTION ADOPTING
FEES PURSUANT TO THE
COST RECOVERY SYSTEM
RECITALS
WHEREAS, state law requires increases in existing fees and charges be
adopted by ordinance or resolution following a public hearing on said fees and
charges; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 3.70 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code authorizes the
establishment and increase of fees under the cost recovery system; and
WHEREAS, the CITY adopted Resolution No. 037 -10 setting forth the current
Master Fee Schedule and the proposed fees will be added to that Master Fee
Schedule a copy of which can be obtained through the City Clerk's office; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Recreation and Parks has recently added the
Mill House facility located along the Mill Creek to its list of reservable facilities and a
fee does not currently exist for this facility; and
WHEREAS, the fees and charges set forth in Exhibit "A" do not exceed the
reasonable estimated cost of providing the services for which the fees are charged;
and
WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council was advertised twice in
the Bakersfield Californian, a newspaper of general circulation, and held on August
14, 2013.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
1. The above recitals are true and correct.
2. The fees set forth in Exhibit "A" are hereby adopted and shall become
effective according to the Master Fee Schedule following schedule.
