For Immediate Release August 16, 2013
On August 16, 2013, at approximately 1:35 a.m., Bakersfield Police
Officers heard shots fired in the downtown area. Officers located victims
and a witness in the 1900 block of “H” Street.
The investigation revealed there was a peace disturbance inside Club Inc.,
located at 1919 “K” Street. The peace disturbance continued outside the
front of the business where gunshots were fired. Both the victims and
witness fled the business. One victim was transported to a local hospital
and was in stable condition. The second victim’s gunshot struck his shoe
and did not cause injury.
The suspect is described as a Black male, 25 to 30 years of age, with
a small beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a blue
baseball hat and blue t-shirt, and carrying a small handgun.
