The Bakersfield Police Department wants to provide community awareness and is
requesting the community’s assistance identifying a suspicious driver who attempted to
lure a female for sexual gratification.
On August 5, 2013, at approximately 8:45 p.m., a vehicle approached an adult female in
the 1100 block of West Columbus and asked her if she wanted a ride. The adult female
refused; however, the driver demanded she get in the vehicle. When she again
refused, the driver touched himself in a sexual manner and made an inappropriate
comment to her. She ran from the area and the driver fled in his vehicle.
The driver is described as a Black male in his 20s.
His vehicle is described as a newer model silver 4-door compact car.
Anyone with information regarding this incident or driver is urged to contact the
