The City of Bakersfield Animal Control Division would like to invite the
community to a low cost rabies vaccination, licensing and microchip clinic for
their pets.
On Saturday, August 10th, 2013, from 8:00 a.m.-11 a.m., the City of Bakersfield
Animal Control Division will be offering low cost rabies vaccinations and
licensing for city residents’ pets. City residents will also have the opportunity to
have their pet implanted with a FREE microchip, if their pet is currently licensed.
The clinic will be held at Beale Park, located at 500 Oleander Avenue.
The microchip program is an effort focused on reducing the number of animals
entering the shelter system. Typically micro chipped pets are not taken to the
shelter; instead, they are returned home.
