On Saturday, August 17, 2013, the Bakersfield Police Department is hosting the 12th
annual “Howlin’ at the Moon” 5K, 10K and 2K Fun Run at River Walk Park, located at
Stockdale Highway and Buena Vista Road.
Howlin’ at the Moon is a night-time run along the bike path to the light of a nearly full
moon. All paid participants will receive a glow-necklace, BBQ sandwich, chips and
refreshments. Activities will be available for kids. Items provided by various local
businesses and organizations will be raffled. The first 300 runners will receive t -shirts.
Challenge coins are $8.00
Early entry received by August 14, 2013 is $25.00. Race Day entry fee is $30.00
