Investigators have received new information regarding the homicide that occurred on March 2,
2013 at SR58 and South Real Road. Investigators are urging anyone who has additional
information regarding this homicide to contact them immediately.
Anyone who has information regarding this homicide is urged to contact Bakersfield Police

Previous Release March 2, 2013
On Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 2:30 a.m., Bakersfield Police Officers responded to SR58 and
South Real Road regarding a report of shots fired and multiple victims of gunshots. Officers
arrived on scene and located a vehicle in the roadway occupied by a single adult male driver
suffering from multiple gunshots. The victim’s injuries were determined to be major. He was
transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A second adult male victim, who was determined to be a passenger inside the vehicle at the
time of the shooting, was picked up from the scene and transported to a local hospital by a
passerby. Officers contacted the second victim at the hospital and learned his injuries were
non-life threatening.
Investigation at the scene indicated that the occupant/s of a passing vehicle fired multiple
gunshots at the victim’s vehicle as they drove Westbound on SR58 approaching South Real
Road.
There is no known suspect information at this time. The suspect/s are still at large and the
investigation is continuing.
