HomeMy WebLinkAbout13_10_03 UPDATE High Risk Suspect Arrests BAKERSFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE Greg Williamson, Chief of Police Contact: Michaela Sims Public Information Office 661-326-3803 msims@bakersfieldpd.us For Immediate Release October 3, 2013 Today, October 3, 2013, the Bakersfield Police Department conducted a felony warrant sweep to locate and arrest numerous high risk suspects. Dvontae Pink, 21, and Jimmy Baker, 27, were arrested for the murder of Floyd Beam on February 10, 2013, in the 500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Pink and Trevonte Williams, 23, were also arrested for a drive by shooting and attempted homicide that occurred in the 500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on February 6, 2013. Pink was also identified as the suspect responsible for the assault with a firearm and attempted homicide that occurred in the 400 block of Whitlock Street on March 3, 2013. Pink was arrested for one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang. Baker was arrested for murder, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang. Williams was arrested for attempted murder, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang. Pink, Baker and Williams were arrested and booked in the Kern County Jail. Wendell Allen, pictured below, is wanted in connection with the drive by shooting and attempted homicide that occurred on February 6, 2013, in the 500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. He is wanted for attempted murder, conspiracy, and participation in a criminal street gang. Terrell Bishop, 27, pictured in the photograph below on the left, and Willie Jackson Jr., 26, pictured in the photograph below on the right, are wanted for possession of a firearm, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang.
