ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.40.040 OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO REPORTS
AND REMITTANCES FOR TRANSIENT LODGING TAX.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 3.40.040 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
3.40.040 Reports and remittances.
A. The person collecting any such tax shall prepare a report upon such
forms and setting forth such information as the tax collector may prescribe and
require, showing the amount of room rental charges collected, and the tax
required to be collected, and shall sign and deliver the same to the tax
collector with a remittance of the tax.
B. The reports and remittances shall be due the first day of each
month covering the amount of tax collected during the preceding month.
C. If the remittance is by check or money order, the same shall be
payable to the city.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the provisions of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and
after the date of its passage.
