ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14.04, SECTION
14.04.011, AND SECTION 14.04.240, SUBSECTION A, OF
THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
CHANGE OF NAME OF ASHE WATER SERVICE AREA AND
INSTALLATION OF WATER SERVICE CONNECTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Chapter 14.04 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
Chapter 14.04 CITY DOMESTIC WATER SERVICE AREA
SECTION 2.
Section 14.04.011 of the Bakersfield Municipal code is hereby amended to
read as follows;
14.04.011 Establishment of City domestic water service area.
There is established the City domestic water service area, the boundaries
and service area of which shall be determined by the council by resolution,
which resolution may be amended from time to time.
SECTION 3.
Section 14.04.240, subsection A, of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
14.04.240 Service connections, meters and customers' facilities — Installation.
A. Service Connections.
1. Only contractors duly authorized by the city will be permitted to
install a service connection from the city's main to the customer's premises.

SECTION 4.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the provisions of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and
after the date of its passage.

HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted,
by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on
