For Immediate Release November 16, 2013 The Bakersfield Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying the suspect in an attempt kidnapping. Today at approximately 7:30am, a female juvenile teenager was in the 3400 block of Chester Avenue, when she was approached by the suspect. The suspect grabbed the victim and attempted to force her into his vehicle however she was able to escape and call for help. The suspect is described as a black male, late 30’s, 5’8” tall, with a large build. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark green, late 90’s, 4 door Honda Accord, with rear tinted windows. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department at 661- 327-7111 or Detective Mitch Galland at 661-326-3557.
