Detective Galland, working with the victim and the Bakersfield Police Department Crime
Scene Unit has developed a composite rendering of the suspect in this case. Anyone
with information is encouraged to call Detective Galland at (661) 326-3557 or the
Bakersfield Police Department at (661) 327-7111.

The Bakersfield Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying
the suspect in an attempt kidnapping. Today at approximately 7:30am, a female
juvenile teenager was in the 3400 block of Chester Avenue, when she was approached
by the suspect. The suspect grabbed the victim and attempted to force her into his
vehicle however she was able to escape and call for help.
The suspect is described as a black male, late 30’s, 5’8” tall, with a large build. The
suspect vehicle is described as a dark green, late 90’s, 4 door Honda Accord, with rear
tinted windows.
