On January 2, 2014, at 11:41 am Bakersfield police officers were dispatched to 4901
South Union Ave. regarding a possible carjacking that had just occurred. When officers
arrived they discovered that the victim is a repossession agent and parked his vehicle
behind the vehicle that he intended to repossess. He contacted the driver of the vehicle
identified as, April Lee, 38 of Bakersfield and told her of his intent to repossess the
vehicle. Lee entered the vehicle with a passenger identified as, Dominique Robertson,
18, of Bakersfield and backed her vehicle on the repossession agent’s vehicle.
The victim exited his vehicle and was assaulted by Lee. Robertson then joined in on the
assault of the victim. After the assault Robertson got into the victim’s vehicle and fled
from the scene followed by Lee. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the
assault.
Lee and Robertson were later located and arrested. Lee was charged with Carjacking,
Conspiracy and Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Robertson was charged with
Carjacking and Conspiracy.
