On 1/24/13 at about 12:10 pm, the Bakersfield Police Department responded to a traffic
collision in the 10 block of “P” St.
A preliminary investigation revealed an adult female was driving southbound on “P” St.
approaching Brundage Ln. when, for unknown reasons she swerved causing her
vehicle to strike two cars parked along the west curbline. The female driver was taken to
a local area hospital with potential life threatening injuries and was pronounced
deceased shortly after arriving. Neither of the parked vehicles was occupied at the time
of the collision and there were no passengers in the female’s vehicle.
The identity of the deceased is withheld pending notification of family by the coroner.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call Officer
