The City of Bakersfield Animal Control Division would like to invite the community to a
low cost rabies vaccination/ licensing & microchip clinic for their pets.
On Saturday, February 1, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 pm, the City of Bakersfield
Animal Control Division will be offering low cost rabies vaccinations and licensing with
free microchips to all currently licensed dogs at Jefferson Park located at 801 Bernard
Street.
The free microchip program is a yearlong effort that is focused on reducing the number
of impounded animals entering the shelter system. This form of electronic identification
for animals is fast becoming the preferred method for reunification between lost pet and
owner.
