For Immediate Release February 12, 2014
On February 11, 2014, at 11:55 am Bakersfield police officers were dispatched to the
1300 block of M St. regarding the report of a baby not breathing. Upon arrival medical
personnel pronounced the child deceased at the scene. The death was suspicious in
nature and Bakersfield police detectives responded to the scene to take over the
investigation. Two additional children in the home, a two year old and three year old,
were taken into protective custody pending the outcome of the investigation.
