For Immediate Release February 27, 2014
The City of Bakersfield Animal Control Division would like to invite the community to a
low cost rabies vaccination and licensing clinic for your pets.
On Saturday, March 1st, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until noon, the City of Bakersfield Animal
Control Division will be offering a rabies vaccination and licensing clinic along with free
microchips to all currently licensed dogs. The clinic will be held at Beale Park, 500
Oleander Avenue.
The electronic microchip effort is a program focused on reducing the number of
impounded animals entering the shelter system and is becoming the preferred form of
animal and owner identification.
