On March 10, 2014, at 11:49 pm Bakersfield Police officers were dispatched to a hit and
run traffic collision involving a vehicle vs. pedestrian in the 1100 block of Monterey
Street. Upon arrival Officers located an adult male who had been struck by a vehicle.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene. Witnesses described the vehicle
that fled as a late 1990’s, possible white Hyundai sedan.
The identity of the deceased is withheld pending notification of family by the coroner.
Anyone with information into this investigation is encouraged to call the Bakersfield
Police Department Office Jared Diederich at 326-3967.
