On March 19, 2014, shortly after the release of this information two individuals called
Bakersfield police detectives regarding the location of the suspect vehicle in northwest
Bakersfield. The vehicle has been recovered and the identification of the suspect is
currently under investigation. Thanks to the individuals who helped out in this
investigation.

The Bakersfield Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying
and locating the following suspect and suspect vehicle wanted for Vehicle Burglary. On
March 2, 2014, at 10:00 am the following suspect, described as a:
hispanic male, 5’8”, medium build
wearing a black baseball cap, black short-sleeved shirt
with a long sleeved white t-shirt underneath,
black pants and black shoes
drove the suspect vehicle, described as a:
yellow 2000’s GMC extended cab, step-side pickup, lowered
with chrome spoke wheels, dual chrome exhaust
and a black, hard tonneau bed cover

into the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express located at 4400 Hughes Ln. The suspect
parked next to the victim vehicle and used the driver’s side rear door of the suspect
vehicle for concealment while he smashed the window out of the victim vehicle and
removed items.
