On Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 12:34 a.m. Officers responded to reports of a stabbing
victim, outside the Padre Hotel, 1702 18th Street.
On arrival, Officers located Anthony Rodriguez 22, of Bakersfield, suffering from what
appeared to be a minor stab wound to his abdomen. Rodriguez was transported to a
local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
Investigation revealed Rodriguez and an unidentified adult male were inside the Padre
Hotel, when they became involved in a verbal altercation. The suspect produced an
unknown sharp object, stabbing Rodriguez. The suspect then fled the business in an
unknown direction.
The suspect was described by witnesses as;
White male adult, wearing a gray button front shirt and white tank top undershirt.
