On Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:50 p.m. Officers responded to reports of shots being
fired in the area of Coventry Drive and Villalovos Court
On arrival Officers located Donete Issac 23, of Bakersfield, suffering from a single
gunshot wound to the leg. Issac was transported to a local hospital with non-life
threatening injuries.
Investigation revealed Issac was riding a scooter in the west alley of the 2700 block of
Villalovos Court, when two unknown black male suspects fired multiple shots at Issac,
striking him once in the leg.
Both suspects were last seen fleeing westbound on Coventry Drive in a black or dark
colored vehicle.
