On Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:20 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of
Stockdale Highway and Buena Vista Road concerning an injury motor vehicle collision.
Investigation revealed a green Ford/Expedition was being driven eastbound on
Stockdale Highway by Javier Ceja 39, of Bakersfield, when a black Range/Rover which
was turning southbound on Buena Vista Road from westbound Stockdale Highway
turned directly into Ceja’s path of travel. Ceja, an adult passenger in his vehicle,
identified as Anna Ceja 35, and three juvenile passengers were all transported to a local
hospital with complaint of pain.
The driver of the black Range/Rover, John Fosbinder 45, also of Bakersfield, was not
injured as a result of the collision.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this collision and the investigation into the
cause is continuing.
