Attempt Robbery 14-56114 BAKERSFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE Greg Williamson, Chief of Police Contact: Sergeant Joe Grubbs Public Information Officer 661-326-3803 jgrubbs@bakersfieldpd.us For Immediate Release March 27, 2014 The Bakersfield Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying and locating the following suspects wanted for Attempted Robbery, Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Conspiracy. On March 16, 2014, at 4:24 pm the victim was walking alone towards the entrance of the Wal-Mart store located at 5075 Gosford Rd. when the suspects, who were described only as two black male adults (driver and passenger), occupying the suspect vehicle described as a: early 90’s, white Chevrolet Astro cargo-van stock in appearance with tinted rear windows attempted to snatch the victim’s purse while the van was in motion. The victim was pulled violently and struck her head on the suspect vehicle causing moderate injuries. The suspects failed in their attempt to get the victim’s purse.
