For Immediate Release April 10, 2014
On 04/10/14 at approximately 00:19 am, officers from the Bakersfield Police
Department responded to a shots fired call at the 7-11 convenience store located at
1701 Pacheco Road. Upon officers arrival they located two victims of gunshots. Both
victims were transported to the hospital for treatment. One of the victims was later
pronounced deceased at the hospital. The investigation revealed the victims were in
their vehicle parked at the convenience store. The suspect pulled alongside the victim’s
vehicle and fired several shots at the victims causing the injuries. The suspect fled the
location westbound on Pacheco Road. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a dark
color vehicle and the suspect was described as a Hispanic male. The investigation is
continuing.
