OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER
May 23, 2014 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council
FROM: Alan Tandy, City Manager AT/RS/cb
Subject: General Information
Memorial Day
Good News:
City Offices will be closed on Monday, May 26th, in observance of Memorial Day.
Please bear in mind that if you anticipate making changes to the City Manager’s
proposed budget, the sooner you let staff know, the better. If such items wait until the
second meeting in June, it is possible there will be competing or contradictory
motions. Often times, it requires research to look into alternates, funding sources and
the like. A call, email, or comment at the public session would therefore be
appreciated.
The California Department of Transportation cordially invites you to the ribbon cutting
ceremony for State Route 99 South Bakersfield Widening Project Thursday, May 29th.
Please see attached flyer for more details.
