4776
ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12.20.035 OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
ENCROACHMENT PERMITS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 12.20.035 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
12.20.035 City council approval.
Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the city engineer shall
not grant an encroachment permit for any substantial at, below or above grade
portion of any building (not including any canopy or architectural feature on a
surface of any building), unless the application has been referred to and
approved by the city council.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the provisions of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and
after the date of its passage.
