RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION
FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $150,000
IN GRANT FUNDS FROM THE TITLE XVI WATER
RECLAMATION AND REUSE PROGRAM
ADMINISTERED BY THE UNITED STATES
BUREAU OF RECLAMATION TO CONDUCT
FEASIBILITY STUDIES FOR WATER
RECLAMATION AND REUSE PROGRAMS AT
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT NO. 3
(WARD 6)
WHEREAS, Title XVI Water Reclamation and Reuse funding applications
require an adoption of a resolution by the governing legal authority of the
applicant; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield desires consideration of its
application for Funding Opportunity Announcement No. RI4AS00030; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield, if selected, will enter into an agreement
with the Bureau of Reclamation to perform the feasibility studies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated
herein by reference.
2. The City Council has the legal authority to enter into a cooperative
agreement with the Bureau of Reclamation.
3. The City Council and appropriate City staff have reviewed and
support the application submitted.
4. The City Council certifies that City of Bakersfield will have sufficient
funds and /or in kind contributions as specified in the application
funding plan.
5. The City Council certifies that, if selected, City of Bakersfield will
work with the Bureau of Reclamation to meet established deadlines
for entering into a cooperative agreement.
