AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO RESOLUTION 152.01
ESTABLISHING COUNCIL POLICY FOR
EVALUATING REQUESTS FOR FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE FROM NON - PROFIT GROUPS.
WHEREAS, on September 19, 2001, the City Council adopted Resolution
No. 152 -01, establishing Council policy for evaluating requests for financial
assistance from non - profit groups; and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned resolution limits financial assistance for
ongoing operation and maintenance purposes to three organizations; and
WHEREAS, the three organizations eligible to receive financial assistance
for ongoing operation and maintenance purposes from the City include the
Bakersfield Senior Center, the Bakersfield Museum of Art and the Bakersfield
Symphony Orchestra; and
WHEREAS, a request has been made to provide financial assistance for
ongoing operation and maintenance purposes in FY 201415 to the Bakersfield
Music Theatre, a non - profit organization not included in the aforementioned list
of eligible organizations; and
WHEREAS, the policy must be amended for the City Council to consider
this request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. The above recitals are true and correct.
2. Resolution No. 152 -01 is hereby amended to add the Bakersfield Music
Theatre to the list of eligible non - profit organizations approved to receive
financial assistance for ongoing operation and maintenance purposes
from the City.
