HomeMy WebLinkAboutROI NO 0405P~SOLUTION OF INT.A~TION NO. ~/~ RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A SEWER IN A DISTRICT KNOWN AS "SEWER DISTRICT NO. 43' IN THE CITY OF B~SFIELD. WHEREAS, the oublic interest and convenience require that the work and improvement hereinafter described should be done; and WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Council of the City of B~kers- field, said contemplated Erk and improvement is, and is hereby declared to be more than local or ordinary public benefit; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Bakersfield does hereby resolve ~nd declare that it is the intention of the said Council to order the following work and improvement to be done in said City, to-wit: To construct a six-inch sewer of vitrified salt ~lazed sewer pipe along the center line of the first alley south of Eureka Street, beginning at a point on the center line of %aid alley produced 31.75 feet easterly from the westerly line of Beale Avenue; thence easterly along said line 432 feet; also To construct a lamphole and Y's for house connections at certain points as shoe on the Dian therefore, filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City on the ~/~day of_ ~. . 1921, said Dian being entitled, 'PLAN FOR THE IMPROVEMENT ~F SEER DISTRICT NO. 43 IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, C~.LIF.', and said specifications being entitled 'SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE IM?ROVEM~NT OF SEWER DISTRICT NO. 43 IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIF.", which said plans and specifica- tions were adopted and apOxoved by the Council of the City of Bakers- field on the ~//~. day of ~ . 1921, as the plans and specifi- cations accordiM to which said work shall be done and which are here- by referred to and for a more particular description of said work and impro v ement. All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an act of the Le~,islature of the State of California designated as 'THE IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 1911" approved April 7th, 1911, and all acts amendatory tnereof. -1- And this Council does hereby determine and declare that the said proposed work and improvement is of more t~an local or ordinary public benefit and will affect and benefit the lands and districts her~ inafter described, which said district is hereby declared to be ti~e di~ trict benefitted by said work and improvement, and that, therefore, the entire costs and expenses of said work and improve~ent shall be and is hareby made chargeable against and snell be assessed upon said lands and district which said district is within the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, and shall be ~nown and called 'SEWER DISTRICT NO. 43# and is more particularly bounded and. described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Owens and Dolores Street and running thence northerly along the westerly line of Owens Street to the southerly line of Eureka Street; thence westerly along~ the southerly line of Eureka Street to the westerly line of Beale Ave- nue;;thence southerly along the westerly line of Beale Avenue to the northerly line of Dolores Street; thence easterly along the northerly line of Dolores Street to the ooint of beginning, all in the City of Bakersfield and in that ~o~tion formerly known as Kern. Notice is hereby given that at 8 o'clock P.M. on Monday ~ , ~__.._~, 1921, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Bakersfield, is the time and place hereby fixed when and w~ere any and all persons having~ objections to the proposed work or improvement may appear before the Council of the City of Bakersfield and show cause why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution. The Clerk of this Council shell cause this Resolution of Intention to be published twice in the 'THE BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIAN" and 'DAILY REPORT" daily newspapers published in said City and hereby designated for that ourpose by the Council of the City of Bakersfield. -1- The Superintendent of Streets of said City shall cause to be conspicuously posted along~ the line of said contemplated work or improvement and. in front of the property liable to be assessed, and along all the open streets within such districts, notice of t~e pass~ge of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner and form and within the time required by law.
