HomeMy WebLinkAboutROI NO 0403RESOLUTION OF INTENTION RESOLUTION OF INTE,~,TTION TO CONSTRUCT A S}~,~J]~R IN A DISTRICT KNOWN AS "SE~,~R DISTRICT NO. 42", IN THE CITY OF B~](FRSFIELD. W}~EREAS, the public interest mud convenience require that the work and improvement hereinafter described should be done; and WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Council of the ~ity of Bakers field, said contemplated work and improvement is, and is hereby decl'ared to be more than local or ordinary public benefit; NOW T~EREFORE, the Council of the City of Bakersfield does hereby resolve and declare that it is tne intention of said Council to order the following work and improvement to be done in said Uity, to-wit To construct a six-inch sewer of vitrified salt g~azed sewer pipe ~or~ the center line of the first alley south of Lake Street beginning at a point on the center line of said alley produced 28.75' feet easterly from the westerly line of Tulare Street; thence easterly alo~ said line 472 feet; also To construct a lamphole and Y.~ s for house connections at certain points as shown on the olan therefore, filed in the office of the City Ulerk of said uity on the ~//~ day of ......~. , 1921, said plan bei~ entitled, "PLAN FOR T~E D~iPROV~,~ENT OF SEWER DISTRICT NO. 42 IN T.~F. CITY OF B~]fFRSFIELD, CALIF.", and said specifications being~ entitled "SPECIFIC~.TIONS FOR THE IlfPROVFi~JiENT OF SE~ER DISTRICT NO. %2 IN THE CITY OF B~/{ER~'.FIELD, C~£IF.", w~ich said plans and specifica- tions were adopted and aoproved by the Council of the Uity of Bakers- field on the ~//~/~ day of .. ... ~/~//~ .., 1921, as the plans and speci- fications according to which said work shall be done and which are hereby referred to and for a more particular description of said work and improvement. All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of au act of the Legislature of the State of California designated as "THE IMPROVE,~ENT ACT OF 1911" approved April 7th, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof. -1- And this Council does hereby determine and declare that the said proposed work and improvement is of more than local or ordinary public benefit and will affect and benefit the lands and districts hereinafter described, which said district is hereby declared to be the district benefitted by aaid work and improvement, and that, therefore, the entire costs ~nd expenses of said work and improvement shall be and. is hereby made chargeable ~ainst and shall be assessed apon said lands and district wnic~ said district is within the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, and sn~l be known and called "SEf~,~R DISTRICT N0. 42" and is more particularly ooanded and described as follows, to-wit: Beginni~ at t~e southwesterly corner of Lake and Tulare Streets and r~naning thence easterly along the southerly line of Lake Street to a point 25 feet easterly from the westerly line of Kern Street; thence southerly on a line 2~ feet easterly from ~nd oarallel to the westerly line of Kern Street to t~e northerly line of Kentucky Street; thence westerly alor~ the nort~erly line of Kentucky Street to the westerly line of Talare Street; thence northerly along the westerly line of Tulare Street to the point of beginning, all in the City of Bakersfield and in that ~ortion formerly known as Kern. Notice is hereby given that at 8 o'clock P.N. on Monday ~. ~//~ 1921, at the Council' Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Bakersfield, is the time and place hereby fixed when and where any and all persons having objections to tne proposed work or improvement may appear before the Council of the ~ity of Bakersfield and show cause why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution. The Clerk of t~is Council shall cause this Resolution of Intention to be published twice in the "TWE B~]{~RSFIELD C~£IFORNI~N" and"DAILY REPORT" daily newspapers published in said City and hereby designated for that puroose by the Council of the City of Bakersfield. -2- The Superintendent of Streets of said City saall cause to be conspicuously posted along tae line of said contemplated work or imp~nvement and in front of the property liable to be assessed, and along all the open streets within such districts, notice of the passe~e of this Resolution of Intention, in the m~er -crud form ~nd within the time required by law. , I HEREBY CERTIH t~at t~e foregoir~ Resolution was p~ssed and adopted by t~e Council of t~e Oity of Bakersfield on t~e ~//~J~ day of .... .~~ , 1921, by t~e followi~ vote-' APPROVED this ~/~ day of ~ay~ of t~e ~ity of ~akersfield.
