RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A
SEWF~ IN A DISTRICT KNOWN AS 'SEWER DISTRICT NO.
41"~ IN THE CITY OF B2KERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, the public interest ~nd convenience require t~at
the work and improvement hereinafter described should be done; and
V~EREAS, in the opinion of the Council of t~e City of b
Bakersfield, said contemplated work and improvement is, and is hereby
declared to be more than local or ordinary public benefit;
MOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Bakersfield
does hereby resolve and declare that it is the intention of said
Council to order the follewing work and improvement to be done in said
City, to-wit:
To construct an eight-inch sewer of vitrified, salt-
glazed sewer pipe along the center line of the alley running easterly
and westerly tnroug~ Blocks 251 and 252 in "Miller and Lux Subdivision
No.'l" in the City of Bakersfield; and along the center line of said
alley produced
produced 28.75

duced 28.75 feet easterly from the westerly line of 0 Street; thence
easterly along said line 6$0 feet; also
To construct lampnoles aud Y's for house connections at
certain points as mown on the plan therefor~f~fin the 5ffice of
t~e City Clerk of said City on t_he / v ~/~'~ . 192L
sa~d plan being entitled, "PLAN FOR ~..E I~[PROVE[~T OF SEWER DISTRICT
NO. 41 IN THE CITY OF B~XERSFIELD, CALIF.", and said specifications be-
ing entitled "SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE I}~PROVE~F~IT 0F SEWER DISTRICT ~0.

41 IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELI~ CALIF.", which said plans and specifica-
tions mere adopted and approved by the Council of the City of Bakers-
field on the %~ay of ~'~~ 1921, as the plans and specifica-
tions according to which said work s~all be done and which are hereby
referred to and for a more particular description of said work and
improvement.
All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance
of an act of the Legislature of the State of California designated as
"THE IMPROV~ENT ACT OF 1911" approved April 7th, 1911, and all acts
~mendatory thereof.
tND this Council does hereby determine and declare that
the said proposed work and improvement is of more than local or ordi-
nary public benefit and will affect and benefit the lands and districts
hereinafter described, which said district is hereby declared to be
the district benefitted by said work and improvement, and that, there-
fore, the enti~e costs a~d expenses of said work and improvement shall
be and is hereby made chargeable against ,and S~all be assessed upon
said lands and district wr~ich said district is within the City of
Bskersfield, Cg~uaty of Kern, State of California, and shall be known
and called "SEV~EH DISTHICT NO. 41" and is more particularly bounded end
described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of 19th and Q Streets
and running t~ence,vJesterly along the southerly line of 19tn Street to
the westerly line of 0 Street; bhence southerly ~lo:w~ the westerly line
of 0 Street to the northerly line of 17tn Street; thence easterly along
the northerly line of 17th Street to the westerly line of Q Street;
thence northerly along the westerly line of Q Street to the point of
beginning. All in the City of Bakersfield and shown on that certs,in
map entitled "Miller and Lux Subdivisfon No. 1" and filed for record
in the office of t~e Co~nty Recorder of }fern County SepteK, foer 22nd, 192§,
Notice is hereby given tn~t at 8 o'clock P.E. on l~onday
~ 7~/u., 1921, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall
of the City of Bakersfield, is the time and place hereby fixed when
and where any ~d all persons having objections to the proposed work

or improvement m~y appear before the Council of the City of Bakersfield
snd show cause why said proposed improvement should not be carried out
in accordance with said Resolution.
The Clerk of this Council sna!l cause this Resolution of
Intention to be published twice in the "THE BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIAN"
and"DAILY REPORT" daily newspapers ~ublisned in said City and hereby
designated for that purposed by the Council of the City of Bakersfield.
The Superintendent of Streets of said City shall cause
to be conspicuously posted ~9ng the line of said contemplated work or
improvement and in front of the property liable to be assessed, and
along all the open streets within such districts, notice of the passsge
of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner and form and within the
time required by law.
I H_EREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of theCity of Bskersfield on the /~ay of
