Re: Hotel Permit application for 1301 Chester Ave.
Mr. Abernathy:
The Bakersfield Fire Department has denied your application for a hotel permit.
There were fire safety corrections that needed to be done and you have failed
to comply.
Once you have complied with the corrections you can reapply for a permit.
Meanwhile you are violation of the Bakersfield Municipal Code if you are
operating as a hotel.
5.26.020 Permit required.
It is unlawful for any person to keep, maintain or operate a hotel in the city in violation of this
chapter or without having a valid permit therefor in accordance with the provisions of this
chapter. (Ord. 3829 § 1 (part), 1998)
