RESOLUTION OF I~TE~TION TO CONSTRUCT
SEWERS IN A DISTRICT KNOWN AS "SEWER
DISTRICT NO. 49" IN THE CITY OF NAKERS'-
FIEL.D, CALI FOR}'IA.
'~HEREAS, the public interest and convenience require
that the work and improvement hereinafter described should be done;
and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, said contemplated work and improvement is, and is sere-
by declared to be more than local or ordinary public benefit;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Bakersfield
does hereby resolve and declare that it is the intention of said
Council to order the following work and improvement to be done in
said City, to-wit:
To construct a six (6) inca sewer of vitrified salt
glazed sewer pipe on and along the center tine of the alley turning
easterly and westerly through Blocks 307 and ]08 from a point in
the main sewer 28.?~ feet easterly from the westerly line of 0 Street
to a point 20 feet westerly from the westerly ~ine of Q Street; also
To construct a six (6) inch sewer of vitrified
glazed sewer pipe on and along the center li~e of the alley running
easterly and westerly through Blocks ~31 and 332 from a point in
the main sewer 28.?~ feet easterly from the westerly line of 0 Street
to a point 20 feet westerly from the westerly line of ~ Street; also
To construct lampnoles on said sewen at certain points
as shown or the plans and to place Y branches in said sewer for house
Connections for each and every lot and.parcel of land in the distnict.
All of said work and improvement is to be done in
accordance with the. plans and spec~zcatzors heretofore and on the

of the Oity of Bakersfield, said plans being entitled 'PLAN FOR THE
INPROVF~E~T OF SEWER DISTRICT ~0. 49 IN T~E CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
CALIF.", and said specifications being entitled 'SPECIFICA~O~S FOR
T~E IMPROVEMENT OF SEWER DISTRICT NO. 49 IN THE CITY OF B~KER9FIELD,
CALIF.", and which said plans and specifications are on file in
the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, and are
hereby referred to and by such reference made a part and portion
hereof, and in this connection the said plans and specificabions also
snow the exact location of the aforesaid work and improvement.
All of the herein proposed work snail be done in pur-
suance of anact of tae L~i~ature of the State of California
designated as 'THE IMPROV~E}'T ACT OF 1911" approved April 7tn, 1~11,
and all acts mmerdatory thereof.
And this Council does hereby determine ar~ declare that
the ssdd proposed work a~d improvement is of more than local or
ordinary public benefit and will affect a~d benefit the lar~s ard
districts hereinafter described, which said district is hereby
declared to l~a the district Benefitted by said work and improveme~,
and that, therefore, the entire costs and expenses of said work
and improvement shall be and is hereby made Chargeable against and
shall be assessed upon said lards and district wnicn said district
is within the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of Cali£orni%
and snail be known and called "SEWER DISTRICT NO. ~9" and is more
particularly bounded and described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of
Truxtun Ave~e with the westerly line of Q Street and running thence
westerly along the southerly ~ine of Truxtun Avenue to the westerly
line of 0 Street~ thence southerly along the westerly line of 0
Street to the northerly li~e of l~tn Street; thence easterly along
the northerly line of 15tn Street to the westerly line of Q Street;
thence northerly alo~ the westerlM 1. ine of Q Street to the sOUtherly
line of Truxtun Avenue and tne poi~ of beginning, all in the City
of Bakersfield, California.

Notice As hereby giver, that at 8 o'clock P.M. on~t~/
~ ~ ~ 1922, at the Council Cnembers in the City
H~i of the City of Bakersfield, is the time and place hereby
fixed when and where ary and all persons having objections to the
proposed work or improvement may appear before the Council of the
City of Bakersfield ard snow cause why said proposed improvemert
s~ould not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution.
The Clerk of this Council shall cause this Resolution of
Intention to be published twice ir. THE BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIAN a
daily newspaper published in said City and n~reby desigm, ted for
that purpose by the Council of the ~ity of Bakersfield.
Tl~e Superintert~ent of Streets of said City shall cause
to.be conspicuously posted alorg t~e lines of said contemplated
work ar improvement and in front of the property liable to be assess-
ed and alorg all the open streets within such district, notice of
the passable of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner and form
and within the time required by law.
I HEREBY CERTIH that the foregoirg Resolution was
passed a~d ~dopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the
