BF IT RESOLVED BY T'~= COUNCIL OF T~',~2 CITY OF B~XERSFIFLD, That it is the intentio~ of the City Council of the City of Bakersfield to order the following work to be 8one and improvement to be made in the said City, to-wit: SECTION 1. That A Street from the southerly line of Truxtun Avenue to the southerly curb li~e of 17tn Street, and from the northerly curb line of 18tn Street to the southerly line of 21st Street, be graded; that cement concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks be constr~cted to the official line and grade on either side of said street a~d that the roadway be paved with a three and one-half (~) inca asphalt con- crete base and a one and one-half (1-~) inca Warrenite-Bitulitnic wearing surface; 2ECTI0.W 2. That that portion of A Street lyi~ east of tae center li~e taereof from tae northerly line of 17tn Street to tne ~outnerly line of 18tn Street be graded; taat cement concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks be constructed to the official line and grade alor~7 the easterly side of said street and that tae easterly half of the road- way or that portion between tae gutter and the center lire of the street be paved wita a tnrme and one-naif (3~) inca asphalt concrete a one and one-half (1~.) inca Warrenite-Bitulitnic wearing base arid sur fac e; SECTI0~' ]. That D Street from tae northerly curb line of Truxtun Avenue to the southerly curb line of 21st Street be graded; that cement con- crete c~rbs, gutters and sidewalks be constructed to the official lin~ and grade on either side of said street and that the roadway be paved with a three and one-half (]~) inca asphalt concrete base and ~ one and one-naif (lb) inc~ Warrenite-Bitulitnic wearing surface; SECTI0~' 4. That E Street from the northerly curb line on Truxtun Avenue to tae soutaerly curb lire of 17tn Street, and from tae northerly lire of 19tn Street to tr~e southerly line of 21st Street be ~uraded; that cement concrete curbs, gutters a~d sidewalks be constructed to the official line a~d grade on eitaer side of said street, and taut the roadway be paved with a t~ree and one-half (3~) inca asphalt concrete base and a one and one-half (lb) inca Warrenite-Bitulitnic wear i n.~ surface; SECTI0}~ 5. That F Street from the northerly c~rb line on 19tn Street to the southerly line of 21st Street b$ graded; that cement concrete curbs, gutters a~d sidewalks be constructed to tae official line and grade on either side of said street and that tae roadway be pave~ with a three and one-half (33) inca asphalt concrete base and a one and one-half (lb) inca Warrerite-Bitulitnic wearir~M surface; SECTIOn' 6. That G Street from the m~ortaer]y line of Truxtu~ Avenue to the southerly line of 18tn Street be graSed; that cement concrete curbs gutters, sidewalks be constructed to tae official line and grade on eitaer side of said street, and that the roadway be oared wits a three and one-naif (3'~) inca asphalt concrete base and a one and one-nalf (1~) incn Warrenite-Bitulitnic wearir~ surface; SECTI0~' 7. T~at t~e alley run~in~ easterly and westerly in Block 200 from the westerly line of E Street to tne easterly line of D Street be graded; that cement concrete curbs, be constructed to the official line and grade on either side of said alley; that a cement concrete gutter two (2) feet in widta be constructed alorg and one (1) foot on either side of the center line of said alley and taut those protions lyiu~ between gutter and cmrbs (above described) be paved with a ~ three and one-half (33) inca asphalt concrete base and a one and one- half (l~) inca Warrentie-Bitulitnic wearir~z surface; SECTIO~~ 8. That the alley running easterly and westerly in Block 447 from the westerly line of D Street to tne easterly line of C Street be graded; that cement concrete curbs be constructed to tae official -2- lire and grade on either side of said alley; that a cemert corcrete gutter two (2) feet in width be constructed alorg~ and one (1) foot on either side of the center lire of said alley and that those por- tions lyir~ between gutter and curbs (above described) be paved with a taree and one-half (3~) inca asphalt concrete base and a ore and one-half (1~) inca ~arrenite-Bituli*mic wearin~ surface. IrcludiN~ all intersections of streets and alleys within tae limits of tae above descriptions, and excluding therefrom the whole or any portion of streets, alleys, street intersections or alley intersections on wnica pavement, curbs, gutters or sidewalks nave been constructed to the official line and grade, and exceptin~ also suca ~rtions thereof as are required by law to be paved, kept in order or repair by any person or company navirt~ railroad or car tracks tn~reor; SECTION 9. That cement concrete culverts covered with contented iron and provided t,,,itn cast-iron marnole frames, fitted with steel covers be const~ructed across A Street on the southerly side of Truxtun Ave- rue; SECTION 10. That a sanitary sewer of six (6) inca vitrified salt glazed sewer pipe be constructed on and along the center lire of tae ~leys running easterly and westerly through Blocks 237, 238 and 239, from a point 20 feet easterly from the easterly lire of F Street to a point 20 feet easterly from the easterly line of D Street a~d across street intersections within the above limits; that a cement concrete marnole fitted with a cast-iron cover be constructed on said sewer at its intersection wita tae center lire of E ,qtreet; tamt a lamonole be corstructed or the westerly end of said sewer, and that a Y branch be placed in said sewer for each lot in Blocks 238,and 239; all of the said work and imorovement is to be done ir accordance with the plans and soecificatiors heretofore and on tne~/~day 192], adopted by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield, said plans being% entitled "PLAY FOR TiJF I~'~PROV~'r O? STREET DISTRICT ~'0. 76 IN THE CITY OF B~J(ERSFI?LD, CALl?.", and said specifications being entitled "SPECIFICATIONS FOR T~' I~,~PROVD,~?T OF STREET DIS'£RIC~ ¥0. The pavi~z ~ork aforesaid .shall be done also in accordance wi~ the terms and conditions setforta in the '~arrenite-Bitulitnic License Mixture ~reement, entered into by said City Council with tn~' Warren Brothers Company dated ~~/~,l:_.
