N TO IMPROVE STREET DISTRICT NO. _~Z°~ IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, as follows: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFEELD, That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Bakersfield to order the following work to be done and improvement to be made in said City, to-wit: That cement concrete curbs and sidewalks be constructed to the official line and grade on either side of Oregon Street from the westerly line of Miller Street to a line 14 feet easterly from and parallel to the westerly line of Williams Street; Inclu~ng all intersections of streets within the above limits and excluding therefrom such portions as have already been done to the official line and grade. All of said work and improvement is to be done in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore and on the /~a¥ of Novemeber, 1922, adopted by the Council of the CiSy of Bakersfield, said plan being entitled "PLAN FO N THE IMPROVENENT OF STREET DISTRICT N0.~-~'IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIF.", and said specifications be~n~ entitled "SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF STREET DISTRICT N0.~-~-~IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIF.", and which said plans and specifications are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, and are hereby referred to and by such reference made a part and portion hereof. AND WHEREAS, said contemplated work and improvement in the opinion of the said City Council is of more than local or ordinary public benefit, said Council hereby makes the costs and expenses of said work and improvement chargeable upon a district, which district said City Council hereby declares to be the district benefited by said work and improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, and which said district is bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point in the northerly line of Oregon Street 200 feet westerly from the westerly line of ~iller Street and running thence northerly on a line line of Miller Street 150 feet; thence to the northerly line of Oregon Street parallel to the westerly easterly on a line parallel to a point 15 feet easterly from the westerly line of ~Villiams Street; thence southerly on a line 15 feet easterly from and parallel to the westerly line of Williams Street to a point 150 feet southerly from the southerly line of Oregon Street; thence westerly on a line parallel to the southerly line of Oregon Street to a point 200 feet westerly from the westerly l~ne of Miller Street; thence northerly on a line parallel to the westerly line of Miller Street to the point of beginning. All in the City of Bakersfield, California. All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911" approved April Vth, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof. No~ice is hereby given that on Monday the of ~, 1922, at 8 o'clock P.~. at a regular meeting of said City Council in the Oouncil Chambers of said City Council in the City Hall of the ~ity of Bakersfield, any and all persona having any objections to t~e proposed work or improvement may appear before said City ~ouncil and show cause why said proposed improve- ment should not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution. The City Clerk of Said City of Bakersfield shall cause this Resolution of Intention to be published twice in the DALY REPORT a daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City of Bakersfield, and hereby designated for that purpose by said City Council. The Street Superintendent of said City of Bakersfield shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the lines of said contemplated work and improvement and along all the open streets within the district notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention in the manner and form required by law. I H~REBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution of Intention was regularly introduced, passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield, said City Council held on the following vote: at a regular meeting of of November, 1922, by the Ayes: Carlisle, Griitith, Hare, Hougham, Nelson, Robinson, Smith.
