HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 182-14RESOLUTION NO. 182- 1 4 A RESOLUTION DECLARING REAL PROPERTY SURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF THE CITY AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE ITS SALE WHEREAS, the City acquired a fee simple interest in property located at 6330 Coffee Road, Bakersfield, CA as part of the Coffee Road Widening Project; and, WHEREAS, the City has completed the construction of the Coffee Road Widening Project and determined that a portion of that property is now surplus to its needs; and WHEREAS, Bakersfield Municipal Code 3.20.125 authorizes the negotiated sale of City property deemed to be "surplus "; and WHEREAS, GEOFF GRAY AND PRISCILLA GRAY, husband and wife as joint tenants has made a written offer for the full appraised value; and WHEREAS, the Bakersfield Planning Department found the sale of this property to be consistent with the Metropolitan Bakersfield 2010 General Plan pursuant to Government Code Section 65402. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. The foregoing findings and recitals are true, correct, and incorporated herein. 2. Real Property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is hereby declared surplus to the City's needs and the Finance Director is authorized to negotiate its sale.
