RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE SALE OF
2001 CHEVROLET LUMINA
TO THE BAKERSFIELD HOMELESS CENTER,
A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION
FOR ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,500)
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield possesses a 2001 Chevrolet Lumina which
is no longer in service; and
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield Homeless Center, a nonprofit organization,
desires to purchase the surplus vehicle at a cost of one thousand five hundred
dollars ($1,500); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Bakersfield Municipal Code section
3.20.120(F) the City Council must confirm and approve the sale of any surplus
equipment to a nonprofit organization;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated
herein by reference.
2. The City Council authorizes the Finance Director to sell a surplus
Chevrolet Lumina to the Bakersfield Homeless Center for one
thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500).
