404B.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as foilers:
That it is the ~tention of the Council o~ the *ity of
Bakersfield to order the following street work to be don~ and
improvement to be made, to-wit:
That 13th Street between the westerly line of A Street
and the westerly line of Elm Street; and
That Cedar Street between the northerly line of California
Avenue and the southerly line of 13th Street; and
That Pine Street between the northerly line of Califormia
Avenue and the southerly line of 13th Street; and
That Spruce Street between the northerly line of Califor-
nia Avenue and the southerly line of 13th Street; and
That Myrtle Street between the northerly line of Califor-
nia Avenue and the southerly line of 13th Street; and
That Beech Street between the northerly ~ine of California
Avent~e and the southerly line of 13th Street; and
That Elm Street between the northerly line of California~
Avenue and the southerly line of 13th Street; and
That the alleY, running easterly and westerly through
Blocks 402A, 402B, 403A, 403B and 404A, and 404B. All in the
City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, ~cording
to that certain map dated March 10th, 190A, entitled "Sale~ map of
the Kern County Land Oompany showing sub-divisions of its additions to
the City of Bakersfield, Kern County, California", which map was filed
in the office of the County Recorder of said County of Kern on
April 19th, 1904, be and the same are hereby closed to the public.
All of the herein proposed work and improvement shall be
done in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the State of
California, entitled, "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE LAYING OUT, OPENING,
EXTENDING, WIDENING, STRAIGHTENING OR CLOSING UP, IN WHOLE OR IN
PART A~Y S~REET, .SQUARE, LANE, ALLEY, COURT OR PLACE WITHIN MUNICIPALI-
TIES AND TO CONDEMN AND ACQUIRE ANY AND ALL LAND NECESSARY OR CONVEN-
IENT FOE THAT PURPOSE," approved ~arch 6, 1889, and the several acts
~nendatory thereof or supplemental thereto.
THE DAILY REPORT, is hereby designated as the daily news-
paper published and circulated in said City in which the Street
Superintendent's notice of the passage of this Resolution shall be
published.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
