RESOLUTION OF INTT~NTIOE TO CHANGE t~D RE-
ESTABLISH THE OFFICI/~ CURB GRADE ON CAL-
IFORNIA AVENUE AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH R
STREET.
RESOLVED: That it is the intention of the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, to order the follwoing street work to be done,
to-wit:
To change and re-establish the official Curb Grade on
either side of California Avenue at the intersection with the westerly
line of R Street from 90.50 feet above the datum plane for the
grades of the City of Bakersfield, as fixed by Ordinance No. 18 of
said City, to 91.50 feet above said datum plane.
To change and re-establish the offic,~al Curb Grades on
either side of California Avenue at the intersection with the easterly
line of R Street from 90.50 feet above the datum plsne for the grades
o£ the City of Bakersfield, as fixed by ~rdinance No. 18, of said
City to 92.50 feet above said datum plane.
All of the herein described work sh-~ll be done in pursuance
of an act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled.
"An act to provide for changing or modifying the grade of public
streets~ lanes, alleys, courts or other places within municipalities,"
approved April 21, 1909.
The Bakersfield Californian is hereby designated as the
daily newspaper published smd circulated in said City in which this
Resolution of Intention and the Street Superintendent's notice of
the passage thereof shall be published. The Clerk of this Council is
hereby directed to publish this Resolution by two successive inser-
tions in said newspaper and to post the same for two consecutive days
on or near the Chamber door of this Council.

The Superintendents of Streets of said Oity is hereby
directed to post notice of the passage of this Resolution of Inten-
tion in the manner and in the form reGuired by law and to cause a
similar notice to be published for six days in said daily newspaper.
I HEREBYCERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution of Intention
was passed by the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the ~day~
