Excluding and excepting therefrom that portion of curb on the northerly side of said alley where the same is constructed to the offinial line ~d grade. Ail of ~aid work and improvement is bo be done in accor~ snce with the plans and specifications heretofore and on the ~ day of ~ , 19~ ad~pted by the C~uncll of the City of Baker field, ~aid ~ians being entitled "PL~ FORTTHE I~iP}~iO~i~,iENT OF STREET-- - ' DI~'~RICT l~0. ~ IN THE CITY OF BA]i]~ESFIEi,D, C~.IF~", and said specifications being entitled "SPECIFICA~ IONS FG( THE IEPROVE: ENT 0F STREET r~STRiCT NO. ~ IE THE CITY OF B~KiiRSFIELD, C£~'.", and which said plans and specifica!ions are on fi~e in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, and are hereby ~eferred to and by such reference made a part and portion hereof. Attention is called to t~e ¥~arrenite-Bitulithic License Mixture Agreement of ~arren Brothers Company of Boston, ~ass., of date May 2Vth, 1922, and on file in the office of the City Clerk. And ~ereas said contemplated work and improvement in the opinion of the said City Council is of more than local or ordinary public benefit, said Council hereby makes the costs and expense of said work and improvement chargeable upon a district, which district said City Oouncil hereby declares to be the district benefitted by said work and improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs a~d expenses thereof, and which said district is bounded and described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of Kern Street with the §outherly line of Kentucky Street and running thence southerly along the easterly line of Kern Street to the northerly line of Jackson Street; thence easterly along the nort~erly line of Jackson Street to a p~int l~ feet ~asterly from the westerly line of Baker Street; thence northerly on a line l~ feet easterly from and parallel to the westerly line of Baker Street to the southerly line of Kentucky Street; thence westerly along the south- erly line of Kentucky Street to the point of beginning. Being all of Block 7~ in the City of Bakersfield and in that portion formerly known as Kern. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments, and bear interest at the rate of seven per ce~t per annum ~ill be issued hereunder in tho n~ann~r provided by tho Improvement Bond Act of l~l~, and all acts ame~datory thereof, tho last installment of which bonds shall mature four years from the ~nd day of July next succeeding nine months from their date. Except as heroinabove otherwise provided for the issuance of said serial bonds all of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated the '~mprovement Act of 1911" approYed April 7th, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof. Notice is h~reby given that on Idonday the ~ day of [~ 1922, at 8 o'clock P.~,'~. at a regular of the meeting ~aid City Council in the Council Chambers of said City Council in the City Hall of the Ciy of B~ersfield, and all persons having any objections to the proposed work or improvement may appear before said City Council and show cause why said proposed improvement sha~LLd not be carried out in accordance with said Rssolution. The City Clerk' of said City of Bakersfield shall cause t!~is Resolution of Intention to be published twice in the THE BAZERSFIiLD CALI?~INIAN, a daily nespaper printed, published and circulated in said City of Bal~ersfield~ and hereby designated for that purpose by said City Council. The Street Superintendent of said City of B~<ersfield shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the lines of said con- templated %~ork and improvement and along all the ~pen streets witYin Said district, notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, Rn the manner ~nd form required by law, and in said notice be shail call attention to the ~arrenite-Bitulithic License Eixture Agreement of the ~arren Brothers Company of Boston, Mass., of date May ~Tth, 19~2, on file in the office of the City Clerk.
