AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10.80.050 OFTHE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE DELETING THE
PROHIBITION AGAINST ROLLER SKATING ON THE KERN
RIVER BICYCLE TRAIL.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 10.80.050 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code
hereby amended to read as follows:
10.80.050 Pedestrian uses prohibited or restricted.

A. It is unlawful for any person to ride or
operate skateboards, scooters~ or other
similar nonmotorized equipment on the bicycle
trail.
B. Every pedestrian walking, roller skating,
jogging or running upon the bicycle trail
shall yield the right-of-way to all bicycles
upon the bicycle trail so near as to
constitute an immediate hazard.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with
provisions of the Bakersfield Municipal Code and shall become
effective thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage.
