AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION B (11) OF
SECTION 16.32.060 OF THEBAKERSFIELDMUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO THE REQUIREMENT TO UNDER
GROUND UTILITIES IN SUBDIVISIONS FOR WHICH
FINAL TRACT MAP IS REQUIRED.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Subsection B (11) of Section 16.32.060 of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
16.32.060
Improvements - In subdivisions for which final tract
map is required.
B. The minimum improvements which the subdivider
makes or agrees to make prior to acceptance and approval of the
final tract map by the city council shall be:
11. All utility distribution facilities,
including cable television, shall be placed underground except that
pre-existing utility distribution facilities on the periphery of
the subdivision and located on an arterial or collector street may
remain above ground. Where applicable, installation of underground
utility distribution facilities shall be in accordance with the
rules and regulations of the Public Utilities Commission of the
state.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with provisions
of the Bakersfield Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty
(30) days from and after the date of its passage.
