A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD REPEALING RESOLUTION
NO. 1834 RELATED TO THE FORMATION OF THE ROSEDALE RANCH
COMMUNITY FACILIITES DISTRICT AND ABANDONING THE PROCEEDING
PURSUANT THERETO
WHEREAS, on March 4, 2015, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
1834, which (1) declared that the City intended to establish a community
facilities district ( "CFD ") for the Rosedale Ranch development and levy a special
tax within the district to finance additional police and fire services required by
the development and (2) provided notice that the City Council would hold a
public hearing on the formation of the CFD on April 22, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the CFD is not ready to be formed on April 22, 2015, as originally
anticipated when Resolution No. 1834 was adopted; and,
WHEREAS, staff is working with the owner of Rosedale Ranch to finalize an
amendment of the development agreement for Rosedale Ranch, and the
development agreement must be amended before the CFD can be formed;
and,
WHEREAS, when the amendment is finalized and ready for Council
consideration, a new resolution of intention will be brought before the Council
for approval and a new date for the formation of the CFD will be scheduled;
and
WHEREAS, the Rosedale Ranch property owner has been notified that the
formation and public hearing will not occur on April 22, 2015.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council finds and determines that the foregoing
recitals are true and correct.
Section 2. Resolution No. 1834 is hereby repealed and proceedings
thereunder are abandoned.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage and
adoption.

HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted
by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on
April 22, 2015, by the following vote:
