ORD{NANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL
CODE SECTION 1.12.060 BY ADDING ANNEXATION NO. 420
TO WARD 6.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) adopted a resolution
for Annexation No. 420 on February 26, 2002, ordering the territory annexed to the City of
Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is
required to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the LAFCO recently completed annexation of the territory to the City
of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in Exhibit "A" for
ANNEXATION NO. 420 and shown in Exhibit 'B", attached hereto and incorporated as though
fully set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Annexation No. 420 shall be included in Ward 6.
Section 3.
Section 1.12.060 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding
thereto the legal description set forth in Exhibit UA".
Section 4.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield Municipal Code
and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory to the City of
Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted by the

ANNEXATION NO. 420
A parcel of land being a portion of the southeast l/4 of Section 34 and a portion of the southwest
1/4 of Section 35, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.M., County of Kern, State of
California, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the east 1/4 comer of said Section 34, being a monumented comer per Kern
County Surveyor's Filed Map No. 7-1, Book 6, Page 27, said 1/4 comer by calculated conversion
being 2,287,779.216 feet North and 6,246,270.675 feet East per California Coordinate System
CN.A.D. 83), Zone 5;
Thence S 00° 34' ~5" W, along the east line of said Section 34, a distance of 30.00 feet to a point
on the existing exterior corporate boundary line of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence S 89° 04' 57" E, along said corporate boundary line, 30.00 feet to a point on the east right
of way line of Stine Road (Co. Rd. No. 157), said point being the TRUE POi?,'T OF
BEGINNING;
Thence (1) S 00° 34' 25" W, along said east fight of way line of Stine Road, 1658.27 feet to an
angle point thereon;
