AN ORDINANCE ADDING THE KERN CANYON NO. 1
ANNEXATION TO WARD 3.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield adopted a resolution for
Kern Canyon No. 1 Annexation (Annexation No. 381) on March 8, 1995, ordering the
territory annexed to the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield
is required to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the Council recently completed annexation of the territory to
the City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in Exhibit "A"
and as shown in Exhibit "B" for KERN CANYON NO. 1 ANNEXATION attached hereto
and incorporated as though fully set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Kern Canyon No. 1 Annexation shall be included in Ward 3.
Section 3.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield
Municipal Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described
territory to the City of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the
date of its passage.

A parcel of land being portions of Sections 19 and 20 and all of
Sections 21 and 29, Township 29 South, Range 29 East, M.D.M.,
County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the north 1/4 corner of said Section 21,
angle point on the existing corporate boundary of

2636.58 feet to the northeast corner thereof;
THENCE (2) southerly, along the east line of said section, a

THENCE (3) Westerly along the south line of said Section 21, a
distance of 5265.54 feet to the northeast corner of said Section
29;

distance of 5281.02 feet to the southwest corner thereof;

Bakersfield City Council at a meeting held on the 19th day of
