PUBLIC HEARING -2nd Revised Tentative Parcel Map No. 10465 (Mclntosh & Associates)
(Ward 6)
Commissioner Tragish asked staff if Progress Road had been vacated? Mr. Grady said a portion
of it has been vacated on a previous map. Commissioner Tragish asked if they can revisit the
vacation of this road on Thursday night? Mr. Grady said "yes."
Commissioner Tragish asked Ms. Shaw if there were any crossovers? Ms. Shaw said she is not
aware of any. He also asked if there are any other accesses to the west so that the farmer can
get onto his property off of Pacheco? Ms. Shaw said that Pacheco still exists as a roadway, it is
simply not a collector anymore.
Commissioner Tkac asked when Castle and Cooke submitted the application for this project?
Mr. Grady said that at least 49 days ago. Commissioner Tkac also asked about the time frame
for the adjacent property owners to get noticed. Mr. Grady said they will usually get noticed at
least 20 days prior to the hearing date.
Commissioner Gay asked if Pacheco will go down to a 60 foot width street? Ms. Shaw said that
it will no longer be shown on the Circulation Element as a collector. It could be used as a local
or could be eliminated altogether. Commissioner Gay asked staff if they are comfortable with
eliminating Pacheco and asked if by Thursday staff could give an answer? He has a concern
about Harris and Pacheco being vacated on recording of the parcel map as condition number 17
states. He has a concern about giving up east/west access through the property.
Commissioner Tragish asked if Progress Road is maintained by the City? Ms. Shaw said she did
not think so but would check. Commissioner Tragish also asked about condition 17 and the
vacating of Harris Road. Ms. Shaw said she is not sure why condition 17 mentions Harris as
being vacated but she will check on it. The Circulation Element shows Harris as being a
collector and it does go through. Ms. Shaw said the condition will be amended.
