Motion by Member Fick to approve item 3.a.
APPROVED
4. PUBLIC HEARINGS
(Ward 3) – Conditional use permit to
a.Conditional Use Permit No. 15-0096RES 15-20
construct a 70-foot tall monopole wireless telecommunications
facility camouflaged as a pine tree with ancillary equipment in
an R-1 (One-Family Dwelling Zone) district located at 4841
Ventana Canyon Drive. A finding that the project is exempt
from the California Environmental Quality Act will also be
considered.

Staff report given. Robert Kuhs (representing Rio Bravo, L.P.),
Craig Michaud, and Kiran Thote spoke in opposition to the
proposal. Melissa Samarin (applicant) spoke in favor of the
proposal. Hearing closed. Board discussion.
Motion by Member Wright to approve item 5.a. incorporating
APPROVED
revisions to conditions of approval pursuant to the staff
memorandum dated June 9, 2015, with the exception of the
requirement to plant a minimum of three trees within 100 feet of
