AMENDMENT NO.1 TO
RESOLUTION 73-02 ADOPTING
FEES PURSUANT TO THE COST
RECOVERY SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, state law requires new fees and charges and increases in existing fees
and charges be adopted by ordinance or resolution following a public hearing on said fees
and charges; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 3.70 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code authorizes the
establishment and increase of fees under the cost recovery system; and the City Council
of said City approved Resolution No. 73-02 adopting Fees Pursuant to the Cost Recovery
System on May 8, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to make amendments thereto:
WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council was advertised twice in the
Bakersfield Californian. a newspaper of general cimulation, and held on June 26, 2002;
and
WHEREAS, adoption of new and increased fees and charges, pursuant to Chapter
3.70 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code, is necessary for the City to recover the reasonable
estimated cost of providing the services for which the fees are charged; and
WHEREAS, the fees and charges set forth in ResoLution 73-02 are hereby further
amended to reflect the applicable changes included in Amendment No.1 to Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated by reference as though fully set forth herein, do not
exceed the reasonable estimated cost of providing the services for which the fees are
charged.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1 The above recitals and findings are true and correct.

The fees set forth in Amendment No. I to Exhibit "A," the Master Fee
Schedule, are hereby adopted. Development Services fees require a sixty
(60) day waiting period and shall become effective on September 1,2002.
All other fees shall become effective on July 15, 2002.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted
by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on
