Procedures for Above Ground
Containment Tank
These are the steps to follow in the event there is a high volume
flow problem or a high or low pH problem.
1 Make sure red valve handle (on the pump side of the
tank) is open. (Open is the valve handle to rrned across
the piping,, closed the valve is the same dir:retion as the
piping.) Once red valve is open, turn on aiTr to pump
(black valve on air line on pump switched on and make
sure handle is directed upward on air compressor
where air line is attached.) This will start pumping
wastewater tank, contents into eontai nmen t tank.
2) Pump out Soo gallons to containment tank, this should
give you room to start stabil''na pH in wr.stewater
tank.
3) Close red valve and turn air pump off
4) After pH is stable you can start putting small amounts
of containment stank material back, into wz.stewa.ter
treatment tank for processing. Open the other red
valve (on alley side of tank) and gravity feed small
amounts of water back in to process. WATCH pH
CHARTS! Continue until containment tank is empty.
