For the period of January 1, 201 1 to January 1, 2012, the Ci� grew by approximately 1.3 percent. Bakersfield was one of 3 cities in see a year-over-year growth greater than 1 percent. The Police C honor police Officers who died in the line of duty during a special Monday, May 14th at 7 a.m. in front of their facility. The Highway Patrol will host a County-wide ceremony at noon at th Peace Officers' Memorial at 1415 Truxtun Avenue, on Thursday, May 1 fallen peace officers.
