Construction of cul-de-sacs at Elm, "B" and "C" Street conjunction with the construction of the proposed 24t" Street Improvement Project. If constructed, tl� prevent all vehicle circulation, both egress and ingress, between 24t" Street and the above listed stree Environmental Document/Public Hearing A proposed environmental document for the 24t" Street Cul-de-sac Project will be considered for thi ronmental document is available at the Bakersfield Community Development Department—Plannir Chester Avenue, Bakersfield, Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and during regular hours at the brary, 701 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield. A public hearing will be held during the regularly-schedulec sion meeting on Thursday, November 1, 2012, in the City Council Chambers, 1501 Truxtun Aven� meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. Please submit comments to the Bakersfield Community Development De fore October 30, 2012. For this cul-de-sac project, which has been proposed by neighborhood property owners, the City will and pavement. Street signage will be installed as required for cul-de-sacs. No landscaping or architec cluded in this project. Landscaping and/or architectural features proposed as part of the 24t" Street Ir� would only be installed as part of the construction of that project, and only within the 24th Street right What is required of area residents? The City requires agreement from all property owners, between 24t" and 22nd Streets, on each stree receive a cul-de-sac. In addition, end-of-street property owners (adjacent to 24th Street) must agree property to construct the cul-de-sac to City standards. AQUATICS: o Total attendance for City aquatic programming decreased by compared to the same time last year. The decrease is attributed 1 attendance during open swim at McMurtrey Aquatic Center o Labor Day holiday. Attendance for the month of September wc last September's attendance was 4,089. o Lap swim attendance increased by 14�o as compared to the sar last year. • 100 Mile Club: o The 100 mile lap swim club is currently made up of 324 active members. The club has swum a combined total of 106,788 mi One year ago the club had swum a total of 85,544 miles. Donations: $5,784.30 Other Aquatic News: o Some of the activities taking place at City pools in the Fall include: Open Swim Lap Swim Elementary Swim Program 100 Mile Club Water Walking CPR/First Aid Courses Total Attendance: 3,692 ATH LETICS: o Aqua Conditioning o Deep Water Aerobics o SCUBA o Kayaking o Diving o Water Safety Presentation o Adult, Youth, Fitness and Adaptive Programs total attendance for the month c was 20,972.
