A RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION PROPOSING
PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD IDENTIFIED AS ANNEXATION NO.
665 LOCATED GENERALLY SOUTH OF TAFT HIGHWAY,
ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF COMPAGNONI STREET (WARD
7)
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield desires to propose a change of organization, to
wit, the annexation to the City of Bakersfield of the hereinaffer- described territory,
pursuant to Section 56654 of the Government Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation territory is within and consistent with the City
of Bakersfield Sphere of Influence boundary; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield agrees to annex the territory located generally
south of Taft Highway, along the east side of Compagnoni Street; and
WHEREAS, the City agrees to serve the territory upon annexation; and
WHEREAS, the property owners of the territory have consented to annexation;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield that it
hereby finds and determines as follows:
I . The above recitals, incorporated herein, are true and correct
2. That the City of Bakersfield hereby proposes the annexation to the City of
Bakersfield of the territory in Exhibit "A" and shown on map marked Exhibit
"B" for the project attached hereto and made a part of this resolution as
though fully set forth herein, located generally south of Taft Highway,
along the east side of Compagnoni Street.
3. That a plan for providing services within the affected territory of the
proposed annexation, in accordance with the provisions of Section 56653
of the Government Code, is marked as Exhibit "C ", attached hereto and
made a part hereof as though fully set forth herein.
4. That this proposal for change of organization, to wit, annexation, is made
pursuant to the Cortese - Knox - Hertzberg Local Government
Reorganization Act of 2000, and it is requested that proceedings be
authorized for annexation in accordance therewith.
5. That the reasons for the proposed change of organization are that the
owners of the affected territory desire to receive municipal services from
the City of Bakersfield and the City desires to receive tax revenues for
benefits given and to be given to the territory proposed to be annexed.

6. That this proposed annexation territory and the prezoning therefore was
adopted by the City Council and a notice of exemption for the
annexation is determined to be adequate for the annexation proposal.
7. That the laws and regulations relating to the preparation of a notice of
exemption as set forth in the California Environmental Quality Act have
been duly followed.
8. That the territory proposed for annexation as described herein has been
determined to be uninhabited pursuant to Section 56046 of the
Government Code.
9. That the territory proposed for annexation as described herein has been
determined to have 100% property owners consenting to annexation.
10. That the territory proposed for annexation as described herein is within the
City of Bakersfield Sphere of Influence boundary.
11. That the Local Agency Formation Commission waive the protest hearing
proceedings pursuant to Part 4, commencing with Section 57000 of the
Cortese - Knox - Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act of 2000.
12. That the names of the officers of the City of Bakersfield who are to be
furnished with copies of the Executive Officer's Report and who are to be
given mailed Notice of Hearing, if any, are:

COMPAGNONI NO.3
TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
Those portions of land located in the Northeast quarter of Section 1,
Township 31 South, Range 27 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian in the
County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Northeast quarter of Section
1; thence North 88 020'49" West along the South line of said Northeast
quarter also being the centerline of Curnow Road (County Road No. 374
a distance of 1321.55 feet to the intersection of the centerline of
Compagnoni Street (County Road No. 2357); thence North 00 °47' 13" East
along the centerline of said Compagnoni Street a distance of 41.02 feet
to a point on a line from the intersection of the East right of way line of
said Compagnoni Street and the North right of way line of said Curnow
Road to the intersection of the West right of way line of said Compagnoni
Street and the said North right of way line of Curnow Road right of way,
intersection shown on California State Highway Map for State Route VI-
Ker-99 Bakersfield Bypass dated January 1963, page 17 of 29 pages and
the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence (1) North 87 °27'47" West along said North right of way of Curnow
Road a distance of 63.36 feet to said West right of way of
Compagnoni Street;
Thence along the West right of way of Compagnoni Street the following
three courses.
Thence (2) North 45 °55'41" East a distance of 47.02 feet;
Thence (3) North 00147'13" East a distance of 958.38 feet to the
beginning of a tangent curve concave to the East having a
radius of 1530 feet;
Thence (4) Northerly along said curve thru a central angle of 11°00'00"
an arc distance of 293.74 feet to the existing City of
Bakersfield corporate boundary also being the Southeast
corner of Parcel 9 of Parcel Map 10717 Phase 2 recorded
December 27, 2007 filed in Book 56 of Parcel Maps at page
69 in the office of the Kern County Recorder;

Parcel 4 a distance of 601.71 feet to the Southeast corner of
